We keep our privacy policy constantly up to date and in compliance with the law. You automatically agree to the most current version if you use our online shop after any adjustments have been made to the privacy policy.
When do we collect data?
We collect personal as well as anonymous data:
- for order processing during your visit
- on our website when using the protected area 'My Account'
- when subscribing to/unsubscribing from our newsletter and Back-In-Stock notifications
- with any kind of contact (email, chat, and more)
How do we guarantee data security?
Our online shop is operated by Shopify, and all our processes are secured by SSL (Secure Socket Layer Technology) to ensure that personal data cannot be viewed by third parties between your computer and the Shopify server.
You can tell whether your browser supports SSL by the 'https://' and a small green padlock in the URL field.
In addition, we take all adequate measures and safeguards to provide maximum data protection outside the Shopify server: during the processing of your order, communication with you across various media channels, and the processing of your data for marketing purposes.
We never pass your data on to third parties, except when it serves the processing of your order (e.g., for parcel shipping with Swiss Post). Any further processing of your data takes place solely for marketing purposes, unless you specifically opt out of this option.
Order Processing and Payment
During order processing, we require the following data from you:
- your first and last name
- your email address
- your physical delivery address
- your phone number (optional)
- your payment method
We need this information to ensure that the order can be processed and your products shipped to the correct address. All of this information is stored in our backend system on Shopify's server and is used exclusively for order processing.
We can neither see nor store your credit card and PayPal information. For payments with credit cards and Apple Pay, we work with the Stripe payment system provider, which connects our shop to the card provider via API. As soon as you click on credit card payment, you are redirected to Stripe's API, which ensures that your payment is encrypted and secure.
If you use PayPal to pay for your order, you will be redirected by Shopify via API to PayPal to continue your payment process from there.
In both cases, no credit card or PayPal information whatsoever is shared with us or stored on the Shopify server.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored temporarily or permanently on your computer while you browse a website.
We use so-called session cookies to store temporary information, such as language and region settings. These cookies are deleted as soon as you end the browsing session.
Other types of cookies are stored in your browser for longer. Such cookies are used, for example, by Google Analytics and other third-party providers, for marketing purposes via Google Ads and other software with which we collaborate to improve your shopping experience.
We do not collect, process, or store any cookies that contain your personal information.
In your internet settings, you can deactivate cookies and actively prevent programs from storing cookies in your browser and accessing them. We would like to point out that in this case, not all functionalities of our online shop may be available.
Web Analytics
To continuously improve our offering and your shopping experience, we use Google Analytics. The data we collect for this is anonymous, and Google uses truncated IP addresses, which prevent your computer from being fully identified. Google provides us with the data in aggregated form. We neither collect nor process personal information by means of Google Analytics. The information we see is, for example, your language settings, your region and city, your browser, your operating system, and the like.

Remarketing
We collect data about your activities that do not personally or directly identify you when you visit our online shop, the websites of companies for which we display advertisements (our "Advertisers"), or the websites and online services on which we display advertisements ("Publishers"). This information may include the content you have viewed, the date and time of viewing that content, the products you have purchased, or the location information associated with your IP address. We use the information we collect to deliver more relevant ads to you (referred to as "remarketing"). We record information about where you saw the ads we provide for you and which ads you clicked on.
This information helps us better understand the content relevant to you and offer you suitable products.

After your purchase, we would be delighted to receive your feedback on our products. We encourage you to share your opinion with us via the customer review form.
Customer reviews are moderated by our team and published in our online shop alongside the relevant products.
Your email address and other personal data will not be published.
My Account
You have the option of creating a personal account on our website. However, you can also order without such an account. To simplify the ordering process for you, we nevertheless recommend creating one.
We store your email address, your delivery address(es), and your order history under your account. Neither your password nor your payment details are accessible to us or third parties; they are not stored in your account.
If you wish to delete your account, please notify us by email at hello@thecurated.ch, and we will delete the account within 48 hours.
Newsletter and Opt-out
You have the option of registering for our newsletter to receive information about new products, promotions, and blog posts.
If you have registered for the newsletter but later change your mind, you can opt out of the newsletter option in any marketing email by clicking on the "Unsubscribe" link.
If you register for our newsletter during a promotion, we store only your email address and your consent that we may send you marketing material.
